Présentation
Born in 1959, Patrick Depecker spent his youth in a village in the Bourbonnais
region of France, watching the local ironmonger at work. A vocation born, he started
to build a career in metal work, shaped by his own unique creative and artistic
flair. He qualified from ‘l’Ecole de Ferronnerie‘, where he studied
design and decorative arts.
His
passion and dedication did not go unoticed. He worked for 8 years alongside Henry
Pouénat, from ‘l’École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs’ in Paris, with
the famous Gilbert Poillerat as his mentor. Many prestigious works were to
follow including the production of a staircase for the palace of the chah of Iran.

Persuing his particular talent for decorative ‘ironmongery’
he started to create his own pieces of lights and furniture in 1984. His work
is sold in specialist shops such as « La
Ferraille d’or » and « La
meublerie » in St Germain des Prés in Paris. He has worked with famous
designers such as Robert Thibier and Léo Allamargot for whom he created a unique
range of furniture with gilded leaves. For
Françoise Arnoux and her chain of stores « Lumières de Paris », located on Boulevard Raspail in Paris, he
created several signature styles of lights including designs inspired by nature
in embossed metals.

His work can now be found in Lyon, in shops such as « Au luminaire Français », « Décor
et Lumière », « Benoit-Guyot »,
« Au Lion de Sable »,
and many more. His work is also in Saint-Tropez, where he produced furniture for
Johnny Hallyday, lights for George Michael, in Megève, with Franck Veisen and
his shop « Poil de carotte ». He
also refurbished numerous cottages and hotels in his distinctive style. For
Geneviève Perrin, in charge of « Tradition
Renouée », he created a line of lights covered with braid / trimmings.
A wonderful example can be admired in the hall of Hôtel du Louvre in Paris. He
has also produced work for Hélène Aumont who commissioned his work including
pieces for famous hotels in America.
In 1990, one of his main collaborations was to create lightsand furniture for Gérard Chaumette. His work was exhibited at shows and sold worldwide.

Working
also for renowned brands such as «
Laurie Lumière », he produced various models, all with his trademark
style and finest craftmanship.
|
He has worked for «Bagués »
producing wall lamps and centre lights, as well as beautiful lanterns for a
palace in Riyad.
Today, as well as developing new pieces, he exhibits his unique furniture and sculptures in Art Galleries, realised with pure melting of
